‘Lichen Textured Glass Shelving’
A wonderful collaboration with talented furniture maker Luke Harding of, ‘MOS Bespoke Furniture’, based here in the Lake District.
I produced kiln formed glass shelves in 10mm thick glass in my cast, bespoke texture, ‘Lichen’.
The texture ‘Lichen’ is created in the kin and the sheet glass sits onto it, taking on the form when heated.
Once out of the kiln, the glass is cleaned and then toughened in an additional process.
The glass sits beautifully, almost floating within this wonderful, bespoke furniture piece.
‘Table Top for a Bespoke Dining Table’
I was commissioned by ‘Waters & Acland’, furniture makers in Staveley, Cumbria to make bespoke kiln formed glass table tops for their wonderful and exquisite tables.
For this large dining table I kiln-formed a 12mm thick piece of glass in my ‘bubble’ texture.
The thicker glass allowed me to create a good, deep texture but retain a flat surface so the table was functional.

‘Table Top for a Bespoke Console Table’
Another project with ‘Waters & Acland’ in Cumbria. This time to produce bespoke, kiln formed textured glass fo a console table.
The glass was cast onto my ‘bubble’ texture mould that was created in the kiln. As with the dining table, thw glass was 12mm thick.
As with all my table tops and shelving, once cast in the kiln, the glass is then toughened in a separate process to ensure the glass meets British safety standards.
‘Shelving for Bespoke Cabinet’
I was commissioned by the talented furniture maker, Jonny James who is based in Henley on Thames.
His cabinet, titled, ‘Innocent Deception’, has elegant forms which support my 9 bespoke, textured kiln formed glass shelves.
The 6mm thick glass is heavily textured in a ‘Shifting Sand’ pattern.
Cast in the kiln, no two glass pieces are the same.
