How to commission my work
-
> Commissioning my glass work for your home or business is a straightforward process.
> Most of my clients have never commissioned original craft work before and as you can see from the testimonials page, they found the experience a positive one and quite a few have returned to work with me again!
> I aim to make the process simple and guided throughout. I take on commissions local to my studio and far away at the other end of the country! So although lovely to meet you in person and chat through options in the studio, I am used to the process also being carried out via email.
> Many clients like to take the opportunity to visit my studio, combining it with a long weekend in the beautiful Lake District. Visit my Events page for tips on what to do in the area.

> An initial meeting with Jo to discuss the outline of the project. This can be done in person or via telephone and / or email depending on your location.
> A brief is agreed and once you are happy an agreement form is prepared requesting a 50% deposit to start work.
> Designs are produced in the form of digital sketches and supported by glass samples to illustrate textures and /or colours. The glass sample allows you to see the colours / textures effect in the location is it going, for example against a wall for a splash back or against natural light if for a window.
> For larger commissions (windows, wall panels and splash backs) a full size colour print out can be provided for you to visualise in-situ.
> Once all of the above has been agreed and signed off, production will begin! You will be updated on progress throughout the manufacturing stage.
> The glass is ready and you will be contacted to arrange collection, delivery or installation - whatever has been agreed!

‘As interior designers we have worked with Jo many times over a number of years.
'We love her professionalism, artistry, quality and enthusiasm. It is a joy to work with her and our clients love the end results’.
Maureen Luckhurst, Whitemore & Thwaytes, Penrith
‘Having previously bought beautiful glass bowls from Jo, we asked her to design four bespoke glass windows for our new bathroom, and one for the front door. She produced the most extraordinary, beautiful and original work, representing the hills and lakes of Cumbria. And then gave us a set of glass coasters to match the front door window! All are loved – a daily delight - and much admired.’
Suzie Hayman, Cumbria
‘For me, great kitchen design is a perfect blend of practicality and beauty. Artisan-made fused glass splashbacks from Jo Vincent offer both qualities. However, I do not like using the word ‘splashback’ with Jo’s work. I describe these as individually commissioned pieces of art.
Every client has their own vision and dream for a certain look in their new ATLANTIS kitchen, and every glass panel is uniquely designed and handcrafted by Jo to make that dream a reality.’
Andrey Donsky, Designer
‘Working with Jo Vincent to create a bespoke decorative panel for our interior design project was an incredibly smooth and enjoyable experience. Jo presented a variety of sample glass options, showcasing different colors and textures, and collaborated with us to develop the perfect design to complement our room's interior. From start to finish, Jo provided clear and professional guidance, making the entire process seamless. We highly recommend Jo for her unique designs and impeccable service’

‘Jo gave us a unique finish to our newly installed kitchen with her bespoke design of the hand made glass panels. Her skill and customer focus was outstanding and a real pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend Jo to anyone who wants to finish off their installation with a touch of class’
