Set of 3, bespoke, kiln-formed glass pieces in greens. Mounted in Lakeland slate. Surface ‘stacked’ texture. Designed to sit on a window sill or against a neutral coloured wall.

Size - LHS 18cm high x 10cm wide. Centre 19.5cm high x 10cm. RHS 20cm high x 10cm wide

Each Slate Base is - 10cm wide x 7.5cm deep x 3cm high

This piece is part of a series of works taken from sketches, photographs and memory while running in the Lakeland Fells.

This piece is part of a series of works taken from sketches, photographs and memory while running in the Lakeland Fells.

This glass varies from 7mm in thickness to 15mm. Due to this variation I have to fire the glass in the kiln for a long time to ensure it anneals properly. (The term annealing is a process that we put the glass through when cooling it in the kiln. This removes the materials internal stresses, making it stable once out of the kiln). Depending on the scale of the heavily textured pieces they can be in. the kiln for a number of days.
